As the snowdrops begin to emerge and evenings stretch that little bit longer, here at Clononeen Farm we can almost taste the arrival of Spring. That is why we have extended our breeding stock to include two new stallions and now boast a total of five superb stallions. We constantly strive for excellence and look towards the future of the Gypsy Cob. We want to promote this wonderful breed as dressage prospects, hunter - jumpers and eventers. This is why we buy and breed for quality each time; movement, conformation and class.

27.10.2003:

We have just recieved an update on Clononeen McCarthy and his new life in Oregon! Minnette Schmidt is simply over the moon and will be competing with McCarthy at the Devonwood Dressage Championships. In a recent e-mail Minette said, "Everyone who is near him, even for the shortest time always says, "I don't know why, but he makes me smile and I become happy". I really do think there is something magical about him. It's hard to explain since we all have been around horses all our lives and have never felt that way about another horse. So once again I want to thank you, and of course thank your Dad for seeing something special in him."

27.10.2003:

04.07.2003:

Young Stock: Eliminate quarantine costs by purchasing a young filly or colt under two years. This is a saving of $2000 for a mare or $6000 for a stallion.

Announcements:

  • 21.03.2007: Playboy's sire Tumbleweed is our newest herd sire and we are very excited to have had such an amazing opportunity. Tumbleweed is known throughout England and Ireland as one of the best "getters" or "producers" in the breed. Each time he stamps his stock with sweet heads, small ears and tiny muzzles. His foals commanded great prices at the March Fair, the first big Fair in Smithfield, Dublin.
